What motivated me to start the brand, what is the philosophy behind it and what are my promises to you?

Vintage garments, carefully sourced on my travels, are the base of this collection. Each garment has its own story to tell, one that you can become a part of. Why have I created this collection? Believing in slow fashion, craftsmanship and the appreciation of owning something unique not mass-produced.

Intricate, luxurious and unique embellishment, designed for each style individually, reinvents the vintage garment.

Each design is hand-embroidered with locally-sourced components reviving the reused garment and expanding its cycle. Each item of the collection is unique and one-of-a-kind celebrating craftsmanship.
The Philosophy
I started the collection 2015 while I was still living in London in a quest to create fashion which is sustainable. There are so many beautiful clothes in circulation already and rather than adding to the never-ending cycle of using resources and new materials, I want to celebrate the existing.
Every style of the collection is based on a vintage garment that already has a story to tell, and I am giving it another lease of life by adding high-end, hand-embroidered embellishments.
Each garment is unisex and one-of-a-kind, as vintage garments all vary a little in shape, fit, material and pattern. Also, each style and its particular embroidery is limited, adding to the uniqueness of the collection.
You are sure to enjoy wearing something one-of-a-kind that is not mass produced and is sustainable.
The Promise
Reuse
Vintage garments, carefully sourced on my travels, are the base of this collection. Each garment has its own story to tell, one that you can become a part of.

Artisanal
All of our creations are hand-embellished. Either in Berlin or Mumbai, as India is the Mecca for luxury embroideries. Almost every luxury fashion brand directly or indirectly sources from India and particularly Mumbai due to the quality, skill and innovation found there.
I am very proud to work with one of the leading companies, 150 years old and currently run by its 6th-generation embroidery director.
Reinvent
Intricate, luxurious and unique embellishment, designed for each style individually, reinvents the vintage garment. .
Sustainability
As the collection is based on vintage garments, no new resources or raw materials are used.
Denim, in particular, is environmentally one of the worst materials to produce, so it is more sustainable to invest in Anne Bernecker denim pieces, than to purchase something newly produced.
Revive
Each design is hand-embroidered with locally-sourced components reviving the reused garment and expanding its cycle. Each item of the collection is unique and one-of-a-kind celebrating craftsmanship.
NGO Program
The Indian company I collaborate with is part of the Uthan NGO program run by LVMH, Kerring and Burberry which works for the upliftment of embroidery workers in India. For example, during the pandemic, this program paid salaries to more than 1000 workers for two months during lockdown.
